Description:

Brief Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop Key insights and drive market strategy for the assigned categories. 
  • Analyze market trends, understand consumer requirements, anticipate threats and recommend response to competitive activity.
  • Perform market visits to acquire insights and inputs from local teams and customers to support new product development initiatives.
  • Monitor sales performances by product range and by country to identify sales opportunities or threats.
  • Work closely with the area Marketing Managers to ensure local marketing support plans.
  • Initiate the ideation process for the assigned category.
  • Recommend and manage appropriate studies to assess a potential or evaluate a new launch.
  • Develop and execute the short and long term NPD roadmap to share realistic future plans with the teams.
  • Build the yearly marketing roadmap based on insights: segment/shape/market in order to forecast the market statistics of product, lines, brand, and competition in order to be efficient in product launches throughout the year.
  • Revamp or revive the freshness of the product category to enhance the attributes and attractiveness in line with the market trends.
  • Create competitive and sustainable pricing strategies along with Finance working closely with sales.
  • Manage existing products, life cycle management, and packaging. 
  • Manage existing collections in conjunction with the Product Manager, subsequent to the analysis of sales and profitability.
  • Establish metrics to ensure effectiveness of category plans and implement corrective measures when needed.
  • Monitor investments and ROI on new launches .
  • Prepare category line-reviews and category analysis for AOP and other strategic meetings.
  • Market Sizing, Segmentation, Pricing, Market share, Competition Insights for the MENA region.
  • Work with product manager for development, roll-out and maintenance of the entire product portfolio within the category scope. 
  • Support in the development and coordination of marketing plan in the line with the strategic brand orientation.
  • Develop technical information tool to ensure right information / circulation to the sales and distribution networks (leaflet, brochures, E-tool).
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned and communicated.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Marketing.
  • 5-6 years of solid experience in a consumer marketing/category management function (preferably in the industrial background) with a proven track record in achieving results.
  • International experience or exposure is essential.
  • strong, creative and innovative comprehension and analysis of different consumer needs.
  • The ability to communicate fluently in English and Arabic .
  • The ability to respond to common inquiries from internal and external customers in effective verbal and written communication skill
  • Knowledge of product construction and sensitive to ideas and plan of action.
  • Ability to analyze and make synthesis.
