Description: The company is looking for a Kitchen Cooks & Line Chefs chefs proficient in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen management. You will be part of a team responsible for managing a fast paced kitchen in an urban casual dining concept.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide support through preparation and proper presentation of all salad bar items, sandwiches, side dishes, and desserts according to recipe in an efficient manner.
  • Ensure that the quality of all inventory and fresh produce are of the highest standards including proper management of inventory levels including the storage area.
  • Assist management with tracking of expiration dates on all products.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and areas.
  • Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.
  • Know what the meal items contain and how they are made; as well as making sure that the food and drinks have the appropriate temperatures.
  • Apply preparation techniques according to well-designed recipes
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene polices in the kitchen
  • Ensure maintenance and cleanliness for all equipment and tools in the kitchen
  • Ensure proper receiving and storing for perishable items

Qualifications:The candidates best suited for this job will having the following characteristics:
  • At least 2 year in the hospitality service industry
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation procedures
  • Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
  • Strong verbal communication
  • Attentiveness and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in high intensity, fast service kitchen environment
