Description:1. Monitors and ensures appropriate stock levels and reorder points to guarantee smooth and consistent production operations and the achievement of the annual production plan 2. Coordinates with the Production and Finance departments on an annual basis to discuss the annual production plan and annual purchasing requirements and budget for production and raw materials accordingly submits an annual purchasing forecast report to top management for approval. 3. Executes the annual local purchasing plan in accordance with the approved annual purchasing budget and the annual production plan to ensure the effectiveness of the purchasing operation that supports the annual production plan in a timely and efficient manner. 4. Identifies new suppliers for new products and/or equipment and negotiates prices, means of shipment, payment facilities; directs the performance of local supervisors accordingly to ensure compliance with negotiated terms. 5. Prepares all the purchasing and external services contract with suppliers, negotiate the prices, and maintains the suppliers database accordingly. 6. Stays abreast of major price fluctuations and trends for all raw materials and other purchases to ensure purchasing the right quantities at the right time in order to minimize costs and regularly updates the price database accordingly. 8. Coordinates with the Warehouse Managers for minimum stock points for raw materials and production requirements (especially for fast moving stock items) to ensure that they are covered and smooth production operations. 10. Ensures that all purchasing operations comply with all the relevant quality and ISO standards. 11. Follows up on all payments to suppliers in coordination with the Finance department to ensure timely payment. 12. Prepares a monthly status report of all purchased items highlighting the variance from the budget and submits to Group Purchasing Manager, revises the budget accordingly
Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Commerce. Minimum 12 -17 years of experience in the same field, including at least 10 years in a managerial position. Preferably glass industry experience / or manufacturing experience. Good understanding of production processes and lead times. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent internet and research skills.
